Ok, first thing you need to do is take a deep breath... Things will be okay!!!
The first thing most people want to do is wash, rinse, scrub or clean the tooth... don't do that quite yet!
If you are close to a dentist (if you can get there within 30 minutes), then do the following:
-Find a glass of milk and put the tooth in there (If you don't have milk you can actually put the tooth in your mouth by your cheek and keep it there until you get to the dentist)
-Head to the doctor asap. They will be able to replant the tooth and give you an idea of the long term prognosis.
If you aren't within 30 minutes of a dentist, do the following:
-If there is visible dirt or debris on the tooth from falling out, then lightly rinse the tooth in milk or water, be careful to only remove the loose dirt without any scrubbing.
-Put the tooth back in the socket
-Try to place it as close as you can to the correct position
-Hold it in that position and head to your nearest ER or dentist
